I’m still feeling my way around designbuild, but am at the point of trying a window and door schedule. I got it to export the CSV, but a few things:
a. the sizes seem to be mm rather than inches as specified, even though it says ‘in’ at the end. In the take off report some of the doors have their inch sizes, but some don’t.
b. Why doesn’t it include garage door and interior doors?
c. It seems to be tallying twice as many windows and doors as there are. Why would that be?

Wrong Sizes
The takeoff units for windows & doors are set in the Settings Tool according to the options selected for the Material Library & Takeoff Units fields. If the correct options are selected any window or door drawn should match the selection. Note: Some doors (mainly internal doors) & some parts of doors will only estimated as mm (for AUS & UK libraries) or inches (for the USA library).
The above is how it should be working, however, I’ve looked into it & it appears as thought there may be an issue here (it may be related to the double quantity issue). I’ve passed this onto the development team for further discussion.
Garage & Internal Doors In Schedule
In the Export Window & Door Schedule dialog the All option in the Export field (#4 in image below) should include any window or door in the model (garage & internal doors included). The other options will give you a more specific export, depending on what you want to be in the schedule.
Double Quantity Issue
I’ve looked into the double quantity of windows & doors issue you raised & could replicate the issue. Thank you for bringing this to our attention, I’ve passed it onto the development team to be looked into further & should hopefully be in the next version (which we are close to releasing).
What I can recommend doing in the meantime is to exclude the masonry lintels for windows & doors until the issue fixed (see image below for more info). Please note that in doing this masonry lintels won’t be drawn in the model & therefore won’t appear in the takeoff.
