Hi How do i create roofing over a drawn plain so plusspec will quantify the sheeting

Hi user42,

Depending on the roof type you are trying to create (i.e. hip or skillion roofs) there are two different tools to generate roofs which I’ve outlined below.

The Hip Roof Tool will create hip, gable & dutch gable roofs from a face drawn within the model. This face can be generated by either using the SketchUp Rectangle Tool or by right-clicking on walls (the are drawn in a loop) & selecting ‘+ Roof > Create Roof From Walls’.

The Skillion Roof Tool will create a skillion/shed roof from points drawn (bottom-most side drawn first).

@user42 can you explain what you are trying to achieve? Are you a roof carpenter or an estimator?
