Joining walls of different sizes

Hi team,

What is the best way of joining walls that have a different stud size to get continuity of the other elements, as shown in the image? I watched the video but i dont seem to have the join walls option, but they are 90deg to each other.

Hi Gareth,

Here are the steps I would take to get the result you’re after.

  1. Draw the walls so the pitching point of both walls is aligned/connected (like it appears you’ve already got). Note: This is so that most parts still align & reduces additional tweaks or manual edits.
  2. Using Adv. Framing Options (i.e. right-click on the wall & select + WALLS > Adv. Framing Options), offset the start/end point of the smaller frame so it aligns with the internal side of the larger frame.
  3. Manually edit the base geometry of the internal lining so it aligns at the desired location. Note: This is a manual edit & will be reverted if/when the wall is edited via a PlusSpec tool.

@Grant, although it is not common to have two different frame thicknesses, I think we could do some work on this, as manual editing is a pain.

The frame is correct, it is just the wall lining and trim that need altering
