is there a way I can create a glass wall and shower door through using plus spec design walls and doors or would I have to make it outside manually if that makes sense through lines and shapes? thanks

You could use the Solid Wall option in the 
Wall Tool & create a glass material, however think there are better options that would require fewer additional steps to get the result you’re after (e.g. needing to adjust the tag/layer & takeoff info via the Edit Tag & BOQ Category feature).
Personally I’d recommend using SketchUp tools to create the desired geometry & then apply the estimation info using either the 
BIM Tool (recommended option) or the 
Custom Estimation Tool.
Tip: If the component is something you’ll regularly use, save it either somewhere on your computer (save it on a shared drive if multiple people in the company need to access it) or in SketchUp Components to use again next time.
