Roof Edit Tool, Hip to Gable

Hi,
I am having trouble with the roof edit tool. When I create a hip roof and go through the steps to change one plane to a gable, nothing happens. It was working fine on the trial version, but now that I upgraded it quit working. I am using V17.7.0 with SketchUp 2018. I went back to SketchUp 2017 and tried it, having the same issue. Any help would be much appreciated.

Thank you for your post.

There are two things I would recommend to do.

  1. Go to ‘Extensions > PlusSpec > Reset Factory Default’, select Yes for the Default Options option then click OK and try to edit the pitch again.
  2. In the Edit Roof Pitch/Gable Tool dialog enter either 90 or 1:0 (depending if Pitch/Ratio or Degrees is selected in the dropdown menu) in the Pitch field.
