Can't Create Gable Roof

I have a hip roof and am trying to convert some sides to a gable roof. I am following the tutorials exactly and the roof highlights just like the video., but nothing happens.

Also, I followed the instructions from this post on here: viewtopic.php?f=13&t=5457

That helped me create a gable, but after the gable is created for one side, I can’t add any more gables to the roof. The dialog box doesn’t even come up, nor do any of the slopes highlight in red. This has to be a bug.

Also, in the same email you could you please open the Ruby Console (Windows > Ruby Console), repeat the steps of the error then copy and paste the text that appears within the Ruby Console?
